[TimelineEdit] Swipe to delete an entry in the timeline

It would feel pretty iOS-native to be able to swipe left on individual timeline entries to delete them. Either that or press and hold to delete, in case a swipe is too easy to perform accidentally.

Beta version expiring soon (build 45)

Hey there Jax, Just wondering if you’re still working on this app, as I haven’t seen any updates in over 2 months. I’m running beta build 45 via TestFlight, and it’s due to expire in 26 days. Should I downgrade to the App Store version in the meantime, or are you planning a new beta version soon?

The application is super unstable

I bought the full version a few days after the app launched, it had some instability issues but I accepted it because it was a fairly new app. But it has been months since then and the app has only gotten worse. I cannot do almost any action without triggering crashes. Here are some of the actions that crash the app: open the calendar on the “day” tab and selecting any day Go to explore (sometimes) Go to explore and change the the dropdown to any other value Change the mode of transportation (sometimes) Scrolling through a day view (sometimes) Just leaving application open for 20 seconds. I’m not sure if the last item is the real cause for the other crashes or if there are multiple issues crashing the app. I’m not leaving a bad review on the App Store because the app looks really nice and I really want it to work. But if someone buys the app today, there is a good chance that it won’t work as expected. I’m running version 1.2.1 on an iPhone 17 Pro on iOS 26.4.2. I already enabled “send anonymous data usage” but let me know if you need anything else to debug and fix these problems.

Random crash after app opening

Manual add / edit / delete for visit entries

It would be great to have the ability to manually add, edit, or delete individual visit entries — specifically to correct the timestamp and location of a record. Time and location detection aren’t always accurate, so some entries end up with wrong start/end times or incorrect locations. Right now there’s no way to fix/delete/add them after the fact (only location can be edited). Being able to tap into an entry and adjust its time or location (or remove it entirely) would go a long way toward keeping records clean and reliable.

Collections!

Since we are already tracking places, restaurants and shopping complexes, it would be great if you could see an overview of places you visisted. For example - I’m traveling out of town and i visit a restaurant that I loved, in 2 weeks it would be impossible to remember it unless i write it down - since we already know its on timeline, why not just create a collection for it? And similarly for other common categories!

Dawarich Upload Feature

Dawarich has an API where points can be uploaded to. I host my own Dawarich Server because I want to get rid of Googles tracking. Maybe this would be a good export feature where the points are uploaded to at night. Because I like the UI in Replay more than in the Dawarich App. Als the tracking there is not as good as in Replay! Days with no movement appear as “No timeline data”

I’ve noticed that on occasional days where I stay in one place all day (such as not leaving the house at the weekend), Replay often doesn’t register any visits at all and instead shows the message “No timeline data for this day”, even though I would expect an All Day visit to my one location to be registered. I feel like this may be due to the tracking staying in a “Waiting” state all day, so it never actively tracks any visits. It would be useful to have this fixed as it creates gaps in my timeline on days where I might be in one place all day.

Why the exact road lines are not correct? Sometimes they are so flat while road is curvy. Can you fix that?

App localization

Could you start a Crowdin project so we can help to localize the app. I’m volonteer for French.

Export in standard formats

Replay has a backup feature but needs to also have an export in standard formats like gpx and google timeline json.

Add custom transport method

I would like the ability to add custom transport methods. For example : Paragliding 😁

Dynamic Slide Show Summary

Since you already have an integration with photos you could use this to in create with the app itself and create a dynamic slide show of a users journey where you show the photos and videos as either of the icons (car, bus, walk, etc) move its the map into the photo or video of the user. If you don’t have a pay features yet this would be one I’d be happy to pay for since:)

Backup size is suspiciously large

I’ve only been using Replay since March 10th (so almost a month), but the size of my backup has already reached 111 MB, which seems excessive for a JSON file with one month of data. Granted I have “High” accuracy mode enabled, but is this expected? I’m just worried it’ll grow to 1 GB by this time next year!

[TimelineAccuracy&Edit] Split a travel

Some of my travels are loggued with only walk instead of walk > subway > walk. I would split a travel by indicating a point in the travels to indicate 2 (or more) different mode of transports

Application crashing

With TestFlight version the app crashes a lot on my iPhone. What can I sen you to analyse it?

Set Clock to 24h

Is it possible to manually set the clock to 24h? Because in my current setup I see all times as AM/PM.

Search while editing a location

I just visited a shopping center where a ton of businesses are located. The list would not be long enough for me to choose the correct one. It would be much easier to be able to search in this situation.

Timeline constantly flickering & unusable

Just noticed on my way home that the timeline is constantly flickering, so much so that I can’t even scroll because it keeps scrolling back to the top. I’ve tried force closing and reopening the app but it keeps flickering non-stop 🤷🏻‍♂️

Locations and time spent

Hi For many years I have been using the Life Cycle app to track where I have been and how long I stayed at different places. It has worked great, but development of the app seems to have stopped, so I’m currently looking for a replacement. That’s when I came across your app. Some features I would really like to see added are better tools for getting an easy overview of a day — specifically where I have been and how much time I spent at each location. I use this to keep track of time spent at work and to maintain a work log. It would be great to visualize the day as a bar diagram or timeline, showing time spent in different categories such as Home, Work, Shopping, Transit, and other places I visit. It would also be very helpful if locations in the app could be linked to an existing location database such as Foursquare or a similar service. That would make tagging and identifying locations much easier. One challenge I currently have with your app is that it only allows one workplace, while in reality I have several different workplaces as a freelance consultant. Another issue is that when I move around within a workplace, the app sometimes thinks I have moved to a different address, so it suddenly registers a new location. It would be helpful if the location geofence could be slightly larger or more stable, so the location doesn’t change so frequently when moving within the same place. You might want to take a look at the Life Cycle app for inspiration. I’m not suggesting copying it, but it has some really good ideas for presenting location and time data. Best regards, Niclas

Can’t enter a new tag name

I’ve noticed that every time I tap on the “Tag name” text field, the keyboard opens briefly, then the Manage Tags screen seems to crash, so I can’t create a new tag. This is build 14.

Location accuracy explanations

The only part of the app that wasn’t immediately self-explanatory were the four location accuracy options and how they differ from each other. It would be good to have some explainer text below this setting for each option, or even better, an illustration of how they compare when plotted on a map. I’d also like to understand how they compare regarding battery life. “Highest” makes sense, but “Balanced” and “Default” sound like the same thing, while “Near” I presume means “Course”, but I’m not sure how near/course this option would be 😅

Can you consider using the iPhone UI font so the app can feel more “system integrated” ?

Explore graphs X axis unreadable

I’m sure you’re already aware, but I wanted to point out that the X axis of the Explore tab graphs is currently unreadable, especially when I set the time range to “Past 30 days“. All of the labels just overlap.

Ability to delete/invalidate visits

I just wanted to request a way to manually delete or invalidate visits that Replay has incorrectly added to my timeline. I was recently stuck on a long bus journey in heavy traffic, and every time the bus stopped for more than a minute or two, Replay recorded a visit. Not really the fault of the app in this case, I presume stopping in traffic is hard to detect, but I would like to manually remove these visits to clean up my timeline and combine the separate Bus “paths” into one Bus journey.
